I didn’t realise it formed part of a series, but found myself drawn in regardless. Also, the author gives enough back story to help you on your way.
This is a dark tale of a girl called Carrie-Anne Houghton manipulated by an older man, Alejandro. I can’t put my finger on what he truly wants with her, or what his intentions are, but I have to admit, at times, I wanted to reach into the book and throttle him.
It did end on a cliffhanger and I look forward to the conclusion.”
